Josh, Kasie and Ella – Part Three

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

Because I couldn’t stop picking out my favorites, this post has three parts to it (for part 1, click here; for part 2, click here! :) This last section is dedicated to the adorable, seriously adorable, facial expressions of Miss Princess Ella! When we were walking around Konza Prairie, we found a beautiful open field with some brush in it and plopped Ella in a basket in the middle, and she loved it! She kept looking out of the basket, in the basket, trying to figure out what was going on, and I think I captured her child like essence through these little moments of inquisitive-ness (yes, this is officially now a word!)

Enjoy these beautiful faces, and I promise, this is the last post of these seriously adorable cuties! :)

Josh, Kasie and Ella – Part 2

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

As you saw earlier (click here for post, Part 1), this family is gorgeous! They are loving, caring, compassionate, funny, and adorable :) Kasie is one of the most beautiful women I’ve met, and is an absolutely glowing expectant mother! Their little peanut is due in July, and they are expecting a boy! I hope you enjoy this beautiful family – and hopefully through these pictures you can see, absorb and glean from thier love, joy and laughter :) …And! Please notice their seriously great sense of spring fashion…love baby Ella’s green shoes and her little yellow rain jumper and Kasie’s adorable pink maternity shirt :)

Josh, Kasie and Ella – Part 1

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

Beautiful blue eyes, warm-sun-light and smiles in an open field…yes please :) Yesterday afternoon I had the wonderful blessing of spending time with Josh and Kasie and their beautiful one year old daughter Ella! I had the great blessing of meeting Josh and Kasie last semester at a mutual friend’s house for dinner, and we hit it off immediately. Their beautiful daughter is full of smiles, multiple facial expressions and quite  adorable, too! I first worked with the family last Fall (click here to see our first shoot together), and was energized and encouraged by my time with them! Needless to say…I was excited to work with them again!

So, here is part of one of a three part series – enjoy the facial expressions, joy and laughter that this beautiful 12 month and her parents old will bring you as you get to “walk” with us through the Konza on a very windy, but sunny and beautiful afternoon :)

Seniors, Families, Couples, Babies :)

Sunday, March 21st, 2010

To all my new and wonderful friends from the past year – THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I can’t believe that about a year ago, I bought my first SLR, started taking pictures, and haven’t stopped clicking since :) I have enjoyed every smile, every sunrise, every sweet kiss shared with a spouse, every delicate detail of your wedding day and all of the FUN we have had together during this time!

a

As is typical with sunshine-y weather, I get antsy :) I want to be outside, exploring the countryside, finding a blossoming little tulip amidst a ray of other flowers about to bloom. I want to go walking around the park and ride my bike along the trails! My “antsy-ness” often spurs creativity as well, so here’s my response to my antsy-ness – I want to take your picture AGAIN!

a

For the remainder of March, and all of April, I’m hoping you will come alongside me, again, and allow me to capture your LOVE in your life – your spouse, your child, your sweet and loving dog, or even your flower bed :) For all returning clients, I’m going to offer a 15% discount on your photo shoot, plus an additional 15% off if you refer a friend, and they book a photoshoot with me! It’s a win-win situation! If you tell a friend about simply beautiful photography, and they book, you get 30% off your next photo shoot! What a deal! So email me, call me, you can even text me, and tell me your creative idea for your next photo shoot! Want to get all your kids dressed up in formal attire and take pictures downtown, or put on your best white tea and jeans and run through konza prairie together? I’m up for it!

a

Can’t wait to hear from you, talk to you, and work with you AGAIN! Without you, Simply Beautiful Photography would be non-existent. Thank you for trusting in me, believing in me, loving me, and most importantly – thank you for letting me capture your love – it makes my heart so happy :)

Baby Mason | In home photo shoot with the Welch’s!

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

Over the past year I have had the wonderful opportunity to get to know multiple families in the Manhattan area through a family bible study. One of those beautiful, Christ-loving families, is the Welch’s! Jeremy and Lindsey are adorable – they love the Lord, have awesome southern accents, two beautiful girls, and are expecting their third – a son! Mason Todd Welch will bless us with his presence sometime in May, and boy, oh boy, I’m excited!  Enjoy these pictures (you know me, more commentary will come as the pictures roll through :) )

I love the dog tags that were used during our shoot – with Jeremy’s name and troop info on them (he is deployed overseas with the Army right now until January, 2011). I know the girls miss him very much (so do all of us in the bible study!), but it has also been a wonderful picture of God’s love to see the bible study “family” come together and offer any help we can for Miss Lindsey and the girls! :)

a

Girls, you are beautiful – this is obvious! :) Thank you so much for asking me to take your pictures! I love taking pictures in people’s homes because it is so personal, intimate and allows the kids to be comfortable in their own environment! Love you all – can’t wait for Jeremy to see these as well! :)
