Matthew, Tracy and Levi | Part Two

We took the first part of Levi’s one year portraits outside in a beautiful backyard in St.Joseph, Missouri! (Click here to see some portraits from the outside portion!) For the second half of our shoot, we did a quick wardrobe change and moved inside! Little Levi changed into this adorable green checkered overall outfit and began exploring indoors – he quickly moved his little hiney to the stairs, and, being the adventurous boy that he is, moved right up the stairs on all fours! Again, enjoy the adventure of the world through the eyes of a one year old!

Matthew, Tracy and Levi | Part 1

Tracy and Matthew and I met about 2 years ago, and our friendship has continued to grow ever since! They are the kind of people that you can’t help but smile when you are around – they are loving, caring, selfless and just overall wonderful So, when two people like that have a family together – you know you are going to have a dynamite baby And that’s exactly what Levi is – he is so smart, adventurous, always laughing, carefree and seriously, seriously cute!

So, today we met up at one of Tracy’s friend’s house who has a seriously awesome backyard and a beautiful staircase indoors. Levi explored the outdoors – wide eyed and seriously loving the freedom of the outdoors! One of my favorite things about taking pictures of toddlers and little babes is their sense of “awe-struck” – even a simple stone wall becomes the most interesting array of rough textures, varying shadows and this “little” three foot wall becomes a great fort, or a tower, or even better – a rock wall to climb! I love seeing the world through their little eyes – and I try my hardest to capture that for you to see – the world as they see it

Josh, Kasie and Ella – Part Three

Because I couldn’t stop picking out my favorites, this post has three parts to it (for part 1, click here; for part 2, click here! This last section is dedicated to the adorable, seriously adorable, facial expressions of Miss Princess Ella! When we were walking around Konza Prairie, we found a beautiful open field with some brush in it and plopped Ella in a basket in the middle, and she loved it! She kept looking out of the basket, in the basket, trying to figure out what was going on, and I think I captured her child like essence through these little moments of inquisitive-ness (yes, this is officially now a word!)

Enjoy these beautiful faces, and I promise, this is the last post of these seriously adorable cuties!

Josh, Kasie and Ella – Part 1

Beautiful blue eyes, warm-sun-light and smiles in an open field…yes please Yesterday afternoon I had the wonderful blessing of spending time with Josh and Kasie and their beautiful one year old daughter Ella! I had the great blessing of meeting Josh and Kasie last semester at a mutual friend’s house for dinner, and we hit it off immediately. Their beautiful daughter is full of smiles, multiple facial expressions and quite adorable, too! I first worked with the family last Fall (click here to see our first shoot together), and was energized and encouraged by my time with them! Needless to say…I was excited to work with them again!

So, here is part of one of a three part series – enjoy the facial expressions, joy and laughter that this beautiful 12 month and her parents old will bring you as you get to “walk” with us through the Konza on a very windy, but sunny and beautiful afternoon

It’s a Walk in the Park!

This past Saturday I had the wonderful opportunity to go on a walk with miss Katie while she was babysitting two super adorable kids! (Anybody who knows me knows how much I love, love, love babies! And of course! I had to bring my camera!)

Katie and Mr. Mason and Miss Megan and I played on the play ground, went down the slide, swung, and of course took pictures

Gotta love all of Katie’s facial expressions – so beautiful you are Miss Katie (you might have remembered seeing her from this photo shoot about a month ago!)
